Gemini Intelligence Is Coming to Android: The Game-Changing AI That Will Automate Your Life
Google is planning to better integrate its Gemini chatbot into Android phones and other devices this year. A more proactive “Gemini Intelligence” system is coming this summer to the latest Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel Android phones, and it will roll out later this year to Android-powered smartwatches, cars, smart glasses, and laptops.

Gemini Intelligence is designed to take advantage of NPUs on premium smartphones to automate tasks across Android apps. Galaxy S26 and Pixel 10 users will first get access to new app automation capabilities, and they will be able to track what Gemini is doing in the background via notifications.
“Gemini will navigate tasks for you — whether it’s snagging a front-row bike for your spin class or finding your class syllabus in Gmail then putting the books you need in your cart,” Google explained today. “App automation is even more powerful when you add screen or image context. Instead of manually switching between apps and copying data, Gemini can turn visual context into instant action,” the company added.
Gemini is coming to Chrome for Android
After bringing Gemini to the iOS version of Google Chrome last year, Google plans to enable new Gemini features to the Android version of its web browser in June, starting in the US. Just like on iOS, the chatbot will be accessible from the new Gemini icon on the app’s toolbar, which will open a panel where Android users can ask it to summarize a web page and more, create images using Google’s Nano Banana model, and more.
Google is also bringing agentic browsing to Chrome for Android with a new Auto Browse feature, which will be available first for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the U.S. Auto Browse will allow Chrome to perform web-based tasks on its own, such as ordering food, booking appointments, reserving a parking spot, and more.
“All these capabilities are built with the same security protections we offer on desktop, defending you against emerging threats like prompt injection so you can maintain peace of mind whether you are on the go or at home. And to provide an added layer of control, auto browse is designed to ask for confirmation before completing sensitive tasks, like making purchases or posting on social media,” Google emphasized today.
